After graduating with top marks in viola from the Conservatorio “F.A. Bonporti” in Trento, he further refined his studies with Juri Gandelsmann and Bruno Giuranna.

As a member of the Constanze Quartet from Bolzano, he attended courses with Milan Škampa at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole and participated as a scholarship holder in masterclasses with Hugh Maguire at the Britten-Pears School of Music and Stefan Metz at the Orlando Festival.

After numerous experiences and collaborations in various chamber music formations (including the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento and the Streicher Akademie Bozen), since 2000 he has been a member of the Orchestra da Camera di Mantova. He also collaborates with the Ensemble Zandonai of Trento and the European Union Chamber Orchestra, with which he has performed across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. He teaches chamber music at the Jan Novak Music School in Villalagarina (Trento).

Klaus Manfrini will take part in Trame Sonore 2026 as a soloist, as a member of the QuartettOCMantova, and of the Orchestra da Camera di Mantova.
