The QuartettOCMantova, a cornerstone of Trame Sonore, takes us into the heart of the young Beethoven with String Quartet Op. 18 No. 4.

From the very first notes, the music surrounds us with dark, restless energy, a tense and gripping dialogue among the strings that feels almost like an exhilarating chase. Yet there are also moments of unexpected lightness, where Beethoven plays with livelier rhythms, as if briefly easing the tension before plunging back into the sonic whirlpool.

The musicians of QuartettOCMantova, who daily breathe the spirit of this festival, bring out this Beethovenian storm with remarkable precision and warmth. It is an invitation to rediscover the rebellious force of a genius who, while still working within classical forms, was already beginning to change the course of music forever.
