During his PhD in Materials Science, Angelo obtained a diploma in operatic singing with top marks and honors at the Arrigo Boito Conservatory of Music in Parma, studying under Lelio Capilupi.

Among the roles he has performed, his stage debut is noted as Mordecai in Esther by G. F. Handel at the Teatro Malibran in Venice, followed by Alfredo Germont in La Traviata by G. Verdi at the Teatro Regio in Parma, Camille de Rossillon in La Vedova Allegra by F. Lehár at the Teatro Comunale of Gorizia, Ferrando in Così fan tutte by W. A. Mozart, opening the 9th edition of the Euromediterraneo Festival in Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome under the baton of Paolo Ponziano Ciardi, and Edoardo Milfort in La Cambiale di Matrimonio by G. Rossini at the Teatro Monteverdi in Parma.

In 2016, within the summer season of the Teatro Zandonai in Rovereto, with performances also in Trentino, he sang the Count of Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini under the direction of Flavio Orizio, as well as Borsa in Rigoletto. In 2018 he performed Florville in Il Signor Bruschino by Rossini at the Teatro Duse in Bologna. In 2019 he debuted as Duke Bertrando in L’Inganno Felice by Rossini and sang Don Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart at the Teatro Duse in Bologna under the direction of Parmeggiani and the stage direction of Dispenza. In 2020–21 he performed the role of Beppe in La Rita by G. Donizetti in Mantua and Bergamo.

He was also the overall winner of the Fondazione Artioli Competition in Mantua for the role of Orfeo in L’Orfeo by C. Monteverdi. Since 2008 he has participated in Riccardo Muti’s world tours with the Concerts of Friendship, together with the ensemble La Stagione Armonica. Since 2014 he has been President of the AMAREMANTOVA Association. He has taken part in various television and radio broadcasts on RAI and Vatican Radio. His discography includes several recordings, particularly with Brilliant Classics.

Angelo will take part in Trame Sonore 2026 as a soloist and as a member of the Mantua Baroque Ensemble.
