The first morning event of Trame Sonore 2026 will be inaugurated by a special encounter entrusted to one of the Festival’s most devoted guests and friends: Giovanni Bietti, one of the most authoritative voices in Italian music communication.

In the evocative setting of Palazzo Castiglioni, Bietti will guide the audience through a listening introduction dedicated to one of the most anticipated concerts of the day on May 30, featuring violinist Sergey Malov at the extraordinary Rotonda di San Lorenzo (h. 7.00 PM). At the centre of both the listening session and the evening concert is the music of Béla Bartók, in particular the Sonata for Solo Violin in G minor, BB 124, Sz. 117, a cornerstone of the twentieth-century violin repertoire.

A valuable opportunity both for the audience attending the evening concert and for those who wish to gain deeper insight into the complex and visionary figure of the Hungarian composer.
