Sebastian Triebener was born in Tübingen in 2001 and began studying cello in 2009 with Ellen Winkel-Lim and later with Peter Buck. After completing his secondary education in 2019, he studied at the Hochschule für Musik Trossingen with Mario De Secondi, before continuing at the Hochschule für Musik Stuttgart, where he graduated with highest marks in 2024. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree under the guidance of Conradin Brotbek and Tristan Cornut.
He is a member of the ensemble “Incanto della Musica” at the Stuttgart University of Music. Alongside his chamber music activity, he has a strong interest in contemporary music and regularly collaborates with young composers. He is also increasingly engaged in historically informed performance practice and has taken part in several early music ensembles.
In parallel, he has begun musicological research projects, including work on the visualization of cello bow movements at the University of Stuttgart.
Sebastian participates in Trame Sonore 2026 as a member of the String Trio Eszká.
