Born in 1985, David Kadouch trained with Odile Poisson at the C.N.R. of Nice, with Jacques Rouvier at the CNSM of Paris, with Dmitri Bashkirov at the Reina Sofía School in Madrid, and with Murray Perahia, Maurizio Pollini, Maria João Pires, Daniel Barenboim, Vitaly Margulis, Itzhak Perlman, Elisso Virsaladze, and Emanuel Krasovsky. At the age of 13 he performed at New York’s Metropolitan Hall, and at 14 at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. He was a finalist at the Leeds International Piano Competition in 2009, named “Révélation Jeune Talent” at the Victoires de la Musique 2010, and “Young Artist of the Year” at the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) 2011. He is also a graduate of the Salzburg and Verbier Academies, and is supported by ADAMI and the Fondation Natixis Banque Populaire.
Praised for the depth of his playing and the sincerity of his interpretations, David is an internationally renowned musician. He stands out for the meticulous construction of his programs, for the eclecticism of his concert repertoire—from Bach to Saint-Saëns, from Mozart to Massenet, from Clara Schumann to Messiaen—and for his attention to lesser-known composers of the 19th and 20th centuries.
David is a regular guest at numerous festivals, including the Klavier-Festival Ruhr, Granada, Gstaad, Montreux, Verbier, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Heidelberg, Schleswig-Holstein, Kissinger Sommer, Schubertiada Vilabertran, Jerusalem Festival, Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival, Colmar, Menton, Deauville, La Roque d’Anthéron, Martha Argerich Hamburg Festival, Montpellier Radio France, Saint-Denis, Piano aux Jacobins Toulouse, Grange de Meslay, La Vague Classique Six-Fours, Folle Journée de Nantes, and Folle Journée Tokyo. A passionate chamber musician, Kadouch regularly performs with Edgar Moreau, Renaud and Gautier Capuçon, Sandrine Piau, Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider, Antoine Tamestit, Frans Helmerson, Victor Julien-Laferrière, Geneviève Laurenceau, Guillaume Bellom, Yuri Revich, Sol Gabetta, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Michel Dalberto, as well as with the Ébène, Modigliani, Quiroga, and Ardeo quartets.

David Kadouch’s discography includes Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 (Naxos), the complete Shostakovich Preludes (TransartLive), a recording dedicated to Schumann with the Ardeo Quartet (Decca/Universal), an album of Russian music, and a recital featuring Bach, Janáček, Schumann, and Bartók (Mirare). He has also recorded a duo recital with Edgar Moreau featuring works by Franck, Strohl, Poulenc, and de la Tombelle (Warner-Erato), as well as the album “Révolution” (Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Debussy, Janáček, Dussek, Rzewski), awarded the Choc Classica of the Year 2019, and Les Musiques de Madame Bovary (2022), exploring the musical world around Flaubert’s heroine through works by Fanny Mendelssohn, Clara Schumann, Pauline Viardot, Louise Farrenc, Léo Delibes, Franz Liszt, and Frédéric Chopin.
His most recent release, Amours Interdites, featuring music by Tchaikovsky, Poulenc, Britten, Szymanowski, and Reynaldo Hahn, has received widespread critical acclaim.
A committed advocate of contemporary music, Kadouch is dedicated to discovering new repertoires, particularly promoting women composers of the 19th and 20th centuries. In January 2024, he took part in Transfiguré, 12 vies de Schönberg with the Orchestre de Paris and Ariane Matiakh, directed by Bertrand Bonello. He regularly performs works by Marie Jaëll, Clara Schumann, Lucija Garūta, and Louise Farrenc, as well as pieces by Clémence de Grandval, Charlotte Sohy, and Fanny Mendelssohn.
