Paola Besutti is Full Professor of Musicology and Music History at the University of Teramo, where she also serves as Director of the Department of Communication Sciences. She is also a member of the PhD program in Cultures, Practices and Technologies of Cinema, Media, Music, Theatre and Dance at Roma Tre University. From 2003 to 2010, she was editor of the Rivista Italiana di Musicologia. She is a full member of the Accademia Nazionale Virgiliana di Scienze Lettere ed Arti in Mantua, where she has curated the concert series I concerti dell’Accademia since 2006.
Among her publications, as both author and editor, are: Claudio Monteverdi.
