Nina Cuk, born in Croatia, holds a degree in Music Education, a degree and a master’s degree in Baroque Singing, and is currently completing a master’s degree in Chamber Music for early instruments. She has studied and attended advanced masterclasses with Cristina Miatello, Sara Mingardo, Romina Basso, Sandro Naglia, Carlos Mena, and Alessandro Quarta.
Passionate about early music, she performs as a soloist at numerous festivals, including “Gregorio Strozzi,” the “Festival de Música Antigua de Daroca,” “Spazio e Musica,” “Grandezze & Meraviglie,” the “Festival de Música Antigua” (Mallorca, Spain), the “Claudio Monteverdi Festival,” the “Festival de musique ancienne et baroque de Sarrebourg,” “Rencontres musicales de Saint-Ulrich,” the “Festival di musica antica di Urbino,” and the “Festival Orgues et Montagnes” in Alpe d’Huez.
In the operatic field, she has appeared as a soloist in productions of Dido and Aeneas by H. Purcell, Didone by F. Cavalli, L’incoronazione di Poppea by C. Monteverdi, La patientia di Socrate con due mogli by A. Draghi, Il trionfo di Camilla, regina de’ Volsci by G. B. Bononcini, Il Signor Bruschino and Tisbe in La Cenerentola by G. Rossini, Il ballo delle ingrate by C. Monteverdi, Peter Pan – The Dark Side by Mitterer, and Adelaide by A. Sartorio.
In the recording field, she appears as a solo contralto in the Messa and Stabat Mater by F. Busoni for the magazine Amadeus, in a recording dedicated to sacred music by B. Marcello for the label “Brilliant,” in Requiem and Other Sacred Music by Dal Barba, in Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem, and in Jean Guillou: Souffles Héroïques, Les Grandes Transcriptions pour Chœur et Orgue for “Da Vinci Classics.”
As a soloist she has performed in numerous concerts and collaborates with conductors such as Diego Fasolis, Federico Maria Sardelli, Alessandro Quarta, Alfredo Bernardini, Claudio Scimone, Sigiswald Kuijken, Thomas Forreiter, and Louis Villamajor, singing in France, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Serbia, Croatia, and Germany.
Nina will take part in Trame Sonore 2026 as a member of the Mantua Baroque Ensemble.
