Born in Como on 25 May 1989, she began studying the violin at the age of 11 under the guidance of Magda Ughetti at the Parini Middle School in Como. After passing the entrance examination to the Conservatorio “Giuseppe Verdi” in Como, she began her studies in the class of Maestro Rosa Segreto, who guided her until her diploma in 2012, achieved with a mark of 9/10. At the same time, she completed the chamber music course with top marks in the class of Maestro Paolo Beschi.
She has participated in numerous masterclasses, both as a soloist and in chamber and orchestral settings, with internationally renowned musicians in Italy and abroad. From 2003 to 2005 she attended the summer advanced course in violin and chamber music in Levico Terme with Maestros Lorenzo Bertoldi and Nicoletta Mainardi. As part of the Savinese Music Festival, she took part in interpretation courses for violin and string quartet with Maestros Alessandro Perpich, Marco Dalsass, and Rocco De Massis. She also attended advanced instrumental and chamber music training courses at Excelsior Academy with conductors Marco Pace, Francesco Di Mauro, and Vincenzo Mariozzi, and professors Iakov Zats, Ladislau Petru Horvath, and Andrea Cavuoto. In the Czech Republic she participated in a violin masterclass with Maestro Anton Martynov in Zbraslav, in Prague and Pucisca with Maestro Iakov Zats. In Pommersfelden, under the direction of Maestro Dorian Keilhack, she took part in the Collegium Musicum international summer academy for orchestra and chamber music, receiving orchestral training from Maestro Eva Bindere. She also attended a violin masterclass with Maestro Klaidi Sahatci in Quartu Sant’Elena, Sardinia. In July 2014 in Nocera Umbra she studied with Maestro Adrian Pinzaru, and in July 2015 in Neive she took part in a chamber music trio course with Maestros Antonio Valentino and Claudio Voghera.
From 2013 to 2016 she studied violin with Maestro Adrian Pinzaru at the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo, and also in the string quartet class with the Trio Debussy alongside her ensemble with Elena and Lisa Napoleone. In the academic year 2014/2015 she was a student in the string quartet class of Maestro Claudia Ravetto at the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Turin. From November 2016 to September 2018 she studied violin with Maestro Piergiorgio Rosso at the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Turin.
From 2014 she began her path as a quartet musician, joining the Quartetto Echos as second violin. In 2015, Quartetto Echos undertook an advanced training path with the Quartetto di Cremona at the “W. Stauffer” Academy in Cremona. The ensemble further refined its work with Maestro A. Pinzaru, first violin of the Delian Quartet, and at the Accademia di Musica di Fiesole with Antonello Farulli, Miguel da Silva, and Andrea Nannoni. The quartet also attended courses and masterclasses with Lukas Hagen, Oliver Wille, András Schiff, Quartetto di Cremona, Ezio Bosso, Simon Rowland Jones, and others. In 2019 she followed a cycle of lessons with the Belcea Quartet and Christoph Giovaninetti at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. The ensemble was invited as an Italian string quartet to festivals such as the “North Norfolk Music Festival” (2019), “Quatuors à Cordes en Pays de Fayence,” and “Quatuors à Bordeaux” (2018), performing at Château Lafite and attending lessons with Alain Meunier, Luc-Marie Aguera (Ysaÿe Quartet), and the Prazák Quartet. The quartet was nominated by the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole within ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy), participating in sessions with leading international professors. It has performed in major Italian concert seasons including Unione Musicale in Turin, Società del Quartetto in Milan, Filarmonica Laudamo in Messina, MiTo Settembre Musica, and CaMu in Arezzo. In 2017 Quartetto Echos received the “Premio Farulli” from the Abbiati Prize committee for the year 2016. In May 2019 it won first prize at the “Gasparo da Salò” chamber music competition and second prize at the national string quartet competition “Sergio Dragoni.” In June 2020, after the dissolution of Quartetto Echos, she joined the Quartetto Indaco with whom she continues an active concert career in Italy and abroad.
Drawn to teaching from a desire to understand how pedagogical practice could become a powerful means of comprehension and communication, in 2012 she began teaching violin at the “Giuditta Pasta” Music Academy in Como, and later at the “Polifonie” association in Como. From September 2013 to June 2017 she taught at “Il Borgo Musicale” in Clivio. Observing the increasing number of students, she refined her teaching methods and began studying the Suzuki Method in Turin with Lee Robert Mosca and Liana Mosca, obtaining Level 1 certification in 2015. From 2016 to 2018 she worked as assistant in the class of Maestro Piergiorgio Rosso at the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Turin, preparing students for academic exams. In 2018 she also collaborated as assistant in the class of Maestro Adrian Pinzaru at the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo.
Ida will take part in Trame Sonore 2026 with the Quartetto Indaco.
