TRAME / ‘ROUND MIDNIGHT

round midnight

Here the circle of every day of the festival is closed and with the music the enchanted threshold of midnight is crossed. The Kelemen Quartet with the sixth and last Quartet by Bela Bartók and the Quintet for Clarinet by Brahms, with Tommaso Lonquich in the leading instrument, will end the first two evenings. Sweet and impetuous songs by Sandor Veress and Zoltan Kodály entrusted to the interpretation of Reto Bieri, Barnabás Kelemen, Lawrence Power, Katalin Kokas and Nicolas Altstaedt, will animate the last event of ‘Round Midnight to be held on Saturday 4th June.
At the end of each concert of this Trama, surrounded by the magical atmosphere created in front of the Rotonda di San Lorenzo illuminated in the night, the traditional meeting between the audience and the artists of the Festival. Sipping the now famous goodnight elixir, the ranks of all the Trame followed during the day spent at the Festival will gather. Here they will exchange ideas and energy before resuming the precursors of the next day.
