Valentina Messa graduated in ’99 from the Venice Conservatory with full marks, honors and special mention. In 2007 she then obtained the II level academic diploma at the Conservatory of Genoa with 110, honors and special mention. She specialized with P. Rattalino, LB Arcuri, P. Masi and E. Pace; he followed masterclasses with B. Petrushanski, S. Pedroni, A. Specchi, K. Helvigg, J. Achucarro, M. Damerini, B.Canino.
Winner of various scholarships and awarded in numerous national and international competitions, including the Premio Venezia, the Gante Competition in Pordenone, the “Societa’ Umanitaria” Competition in Milan, she has held concerts since the age of thirteen in halls and for concert companies such as Normale di Pisa, Societa’ Umanitaria di Milano, Teather Trier, Auditorium Casa Paganini, Sala della Radio Vaticana, Teatro Alfieri di Torino, Teatro Vittoria per Unione Musicale Torino, GOG Genova, Schleswig Holstein Music Festival, Caplan Center for the Performing Arts of Philadelphia, Logan Center for the Performing Arts of Chicago, Sanders Theater of Harvard University in Boston and has played as a soloist with the Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, the Udine Philharmonic, the Belvedere Classical Orchestra and the Philarmonische Orchester der Stadt Trier.
She carries out intense chamber music activity in various ensembles, is a stable member of the Eutopia Ensemble, a group dedicated to contemporary music and has for years been a regular guest of Sentieri selvaggi, directed by Carlo Boccadoro.
Since 2009 she has also dedicated herself to piano accompaniment, in particular of string players, and has collaborated in numerous masterclasses and annual courses at conservatories and institutions such as the Pinerolo Music Academy and the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome; she is official pianist of the Paganini Prize of Genoa and collaborates with the orchestra of the Carlo Felice Theater as a pianist in the orchestra.
She currently teaches principal piano at the Ghedini Conservatory in Cuneo.
