Quartetto Klimt

Established in 1995, the Klimt Quartet studied with the Milan Trio and Pier Narciso Masi. It was then enriched with the advice and support of artists such as Carlo Maria Giulini, Natalia Gutman, Krisztof Penderecki, Maurizio Pollini.
It has played in prestigious seasons such as Lingotto Musica di Torino, Ravenna Festival, Ravello Festival, Musica Insieme di Bologna and Bologna Festival, Venice Biennale, Friends of Music of Florence, Friends of Music of Perugia, Roman Philharmonic Academy, Musical Evenings of Milan , Rovereto Mozart Festival.
In 2014 Stradivarius released the world premiere of Morton Feldman’s “Piano, violin, viola and cello”, which achieved extraordinary critical acclaim. Also noteworthy is Mendelssohn’s complete piano quartets for Brilliant Classics, published in 2020.
Always attentive to the promotion and dissemination of contemporary music, the group is dedicatee of pieces by composers such as Solbiati, Antonioni, D’Amico, Vandor, Cardini, Gaslini.
The four musicians of the quartet teach instrument, quartet and chamber music at the Fiesole Music School and since 2012 have been invited to hold international chamber music masterclasses at the Livorno Music Festival.
