Gabrielle Echiverri - violin

Gaby Echiverri, violinist, is a third-year music, communication and media student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (United States), in the class of M. Airi Yoshioka. She was selected for an exchange program at the Giuseppe Nicolini Conservatory of Music in Piacenza in the class of M. Cardas. In the spring of 2022 she performed the third movement of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto with the UMBC (University of Maryland, Baltimore County) orchestra as winner of the “Concerto Competition”. She has also performed at the Mostly Modern Festival in New York and at the Lake City Violin Intensive in Colorado. In the chamber music field she performed Franck’s sonata for violin and piano, Brahms’ third sonata for violin and piano and some movements of Ravel’s string quartet, Brahms’ piano quartet, Schumann’s piano quartet and of Grieg’s strings. She served as concertmaster of the UMBC orchestra from 2022 to 2024, where she also performed Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherezade.
