Interpreter of the most significant guitar repertoire of the main contemporary Italian composers, soloist appreciated by the major international musical institutions, Angelo Colone graduated and perfected with the masters Alirio and Senio Diaz, Bruno Battisti D’Amario, Angelo Gilardino.

He has played for musical institutions such as the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, the International Sound Trame Festival in Mantua and abroad he has been in China, India, Holland, Switzerland, Turkey, Malta, Belgium .

He has been frequently invited to radio RAI and Vatican Radio broadcasts, and has participated as a guest in literary events on the occasion of the presentation of new literary works by authors such as Sergio Zavoli and Luis Sepùlveda.

During his concert career he has recorded some CDs that develop original research projects including: “Sonetterra” with the Modern Sextet, “Sintesi”, “Angelo Angelo” containing the first ever recording of the concert for guitar and orchestra Leçons de ténèbres, “Goffredo Petrassi Works for guitar”, a monograph on Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco made on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the composer’s death, “Angelo Colone Plays Angelo Gilardino”. In 2019 he completed the complete recording of the work for solo guitar and guitar quartet by the Spanish composer Federico Moreno – Torroba for the Brilliant classics label.
