Alfred Brendel, Guest of Honor of the Festival, is at the center of one of Trame Sonore’s most exclusive initiatives. The legendary Austrian pianist will hold an open lesson at the Palazzo Ducale, giving the public the mastery of his thoughts on the Quartet with piano op. 47 by Robert Schumann. Performing this masterpiece of Romanticism will be the young and award-winning Quartetto Werther, which will transform every word of this great intellectual of music into music, in a revelatory excavation in Schumann’s chamber music. In addition to this unmissable meeting, the Festival includes further workshops and laboratories to deepen the impact that music can have on each of us. Cristina Barbuti, Gloria Campaner and Laura Catrani will show us other aspects of music in events that will unite body, mind and art and will allow the public and even the artists of the Festival to open up to new cultural and sensory experiences, at the headquarters of Alkémica, in the ancient ghetto of the city of Mantua and in the courtyard of Palazzo Castiglioni.
