Simone Briatore, born in Turin, obtained diplomas in violin, viola and composition in his hometown. He studied with Pavel Vernikov, Vadim Brodski and, subsequently, with Christoph Schiller, Bruno Giuranna, Wolfram Christ and Tabea Zimmermann.
He has been a guest of numerous Italian institutions as a soloist and chamber musician (Unione Musicale di Torino, MiTo, Teatro della Pergola di Firenze, Gog di Genova, Società del Quartetto di Bergamo, Museo del violino di Cremona, Teatro Bellini di Catania, Società Aquilana dei concerti Barattelli)). He has held concerts in numerous chamber ensembles alongside musicians such as Martha Argerich, Lorenza Borrani, Enrico Bronzi, Mario Brunello, Bruno Canino, Alessandro Carbonare, Giuliano Carmignola, Enrico Dindo, Ingrid Fliter, Ilya Gringolts, Ilya Grubert, Alexander Lonquich, Andrea Lucchesini , Domenico Nordio, Enrico Pace, Mariusz Patyra, Massimo Quarta, Alexander Sitkovetsky and Pavel Vernikov.
As the first viola, he played with Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, Orchestra da camera di Mantova, Orchestra Filarmonica del Teatro alla Scala, Orchestra Mozart di Bologna, Orchestra Filarmonica di Gran Canaria, World Orchestra for Peace founded by Georg Solti, Camerata Salzburg, Orchestra of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Orchestra Leonore in Pistoia.
From 1998 to 2009 he held the role of Prima viola in the RAI National Symphony Orchestra and since 2009 he has been Prima viola of the Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia.
