kenichi furuya

Kenichi Furuya was a student at the Karajan Akademie of the Berliner Philharmoniker. With the same orchestra he then took part in the Japan tour in 2019.
He studies at Hans Eisler in Berlin as a member of the “Pacific Quintet” and at the Zürich University of the Arts. He is currently a graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts.
Among the various awards in music competitions, Kenichi Furuya won 1st prize at the Muri international competition in Switzerland, 2nd prize at the Carl Nielsen chamber music competition.
He studied bassoon with Mayumi Ito, Toshitsugu Inoue, Koji Okazaki, currently he is perfecting himself with Stefan Schweigert, Matthias Racz and Martin Spangenberg.
He has been awarded scholarships from the Swiss government, the Kiefer Hablitzel Stiftung and the YAMAHA Music Scholarship.
