Ian Bostridge regularly participates in the festivals in Salzburg, Edinburgh, Munich, Vienna and Aldeburgh. He has been a resident artist at the Wiener Konzerthaus, Carnegie Hall New York, Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Philharmonie Luxembourg, London’s Barbican Center and the Wigmore Hall, and from 2018 at the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra.
His opera collaborations include Deutsche Oper, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra National de Paris, Opera Australia and the Edinburgh Festival, Bayerische Staatsoper, Wiener Staatsoper, English National Opera, Royal Opera House, London Barbican.
In season 21/22 he will be engaged with Britten’s War Requiem under the direction of Kent Nagano at the Tonhalle-Orchester, the Konzertchor of Darmstadt and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Winterreise with Pappano at the Bayerische Staatsoper and with Thomas Adès at the Auditori de Barcelona, Les Illuminations with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra of Tuscany and a return with the Elbphilharmonie of Hamburg with the Neapolitan Chapel. This season will see him touring Monteverdi’s Orfeo with Europa Galante, the Basel Chamber Orchestra, and Verbier and in the premiere of a new James MacMillan commission with the London Symphony Orchestra. In addition to collaborations with Angela Hewitt and longtime musical partner Julius Drake.
