Italian pianist of Dutch origins, Erik Bertsch dedicates himself in particular to the contemporary repertoire, collaborating with important composers such as George Benjamin, Marco Stroppa, Ivan Fedele, Alessandro Solbiati, Fabio Nieder.
After the victory of numerous prizes in national and international competitions, his concert activity leads him to perform in important halls including Sala Sinopoli in the Parco della Musica in Rome, Bibiena Theater in Mantua, Manzoni Theater in Pistoia, Teatro Litta and Palazzina Liberty in Milan, Concert Hall of Palazzo Chigi Saracini of Siena, House of Music of Parma for seasons such as the Roman Philharmonic Academy, the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, Rondò – Divertimento Ensemble of Milan, Trajectories of Parma, Friends of Music of Modena, Piano City Milano, Forlì Open Music Festival, Koper Biennale, New Musical Spaces Festival of Ascoli Piceno, Mantua Sound Trame Festival.
After completing his studies at the “Cherubini” Conservatory in Florence under the guidance of Maria Teresa Carunchio, he specialized with Alexander Lonquich (Chigiana Academy of Siena), Enrico Pace (Pinerolo Academy of Music) and for chamber music with Carlo Fabiano ( National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome). Important for the study of the contemporary repertoire was the guidance of Maria Grazia Bellocchio (Divertimento Ensemble, Milan) and Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Tamara Stefanovich (Piano Academy, Munich).
