Born in Ravenna in 1989, Cesare Pezzi has been performing for over 15 years an intense concert activity in Italy and abroad in important festivals (Fondazione Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Società del Quartetto di Milano, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Ravenna Festival, ROF , Mantua Chamber Festival, Verona Steinway Society, Brescia X Days, Cagliari Friends of Music, Camerata Musicale Barese), as a soloist and in chamber ensembles.
Graduated under the guidance of Maria Teresa Carunchio, he continued his studies with Konstantin Bogino, Enrico Pace and Carlo Fabiano (chamber music).
He received the precious advice of great musicians, including Maria João Pires, Elena Ashkenazy, Bruno Canino, Aldo Ciccolini, Pavel Gililov, Sergio Perticaroli, Daniel Rivera, Pavel Berman, Dario De Rosa, Renato Zanettovich, Bruno Giuranna, Silvia Marcovici, Pier Narciso Masi, Pavel Vernikov and Mats Widlund.
As a chamber musician he collaborates with prestigious musicians and ensembles including Francesco Manara Paolo Andreoli, Quartetto di Cremona, Quartetto Čiurlionis, Quartetto Guadagnini, Nikolay Shugaev, Sylvia Danburg Volpe, Matthew Polenzani, Ludovica Rana.
He made recordings in Italy, Sweden, Denmark and Lithuania; Vatican Radio, RAI, RaiRadio3, Lithuanian National Radio and Sveriges Radio SR (Sweden) have broadcast his recordings.
He has won prizes and awards in national and international competitions.
He is currently teacher of principal piano at the Conservatory of Foggia and at the Ravenna Music Workshop.
