Angelo Cavallo studied with Antonio Carretta and Francesco Tamiati.
He collaborates with the Orchestra Haydn di Trento e Bolzano, Cairo Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra da Camera di Mantova, Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma, Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, Orchestra del Teatro la Fenice di Venezia, Orchestra della Radio della Svizzera Italiana. He also collaborates with the MDI ensemble in Milan.
He has played under the direction of Y. Temirkanov, WD Haushild, J. Schiffman, Ter Jung, Alexander Lonquich, Donato Renzetti, Daniele Gatti, Arturo Tamayo, George Pehlivanian, Arvo Volmer, Francesco Lanzillotta, B. D’Onghia, Juraj Valcuha, and soloists of the caliber of S. Krylov, D. Trifonov, F. Colli, R. Bahrami, R. Cominati, B. Furrer, M. Devia, Lucio Dalla, Uto Ughi, A. Gavrilov, G. Stuani, L. Zilbestein , S. Verzari, M. Brunello, S. Bollani, Geir Botnen, A. Ciccolini, and many others.
He has won first trumpet competitions for the ICO Della Magna Grecia International Orchestra, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra and the Daegu Symphony Orchestra (South Korea).
He has recorded for the Vatican, Rai Uno, Mediaset, RSI Radio of Italian Switzerland, Azzurra Music Milano Dischi.
With Preludio Music he has published an innovative recording project in which the solo trumpet is supported by a quartet of saxophones (the Ferrara Saxophone Quartet).
Since 2015 he is the Artistic Director and teacher of the Italian Trumpet Academy.
He is a B&S and Antoine Courtois artist.
