Born in Murcia in 1999, Álvaro García Ros began playing the viola with Professor Antonio Clares.
He took part in masterclasses with teachers of the caliber of Tabea Zimmermann, Antoine Tamestit, Laurence Power, Pauline Sachse, Avri Levitan, Michael Gieler, Joaquín Riquelme, Hariolf Schlichtig, Ashan Pillai, Paul Cortese.
In 2016 he was chosen for the “Talent Project” organized by the Madrid Symphony Orchestra which gave him the opportunity to play chamber music both at the National Auditorium and at the Teatro Real in Madrid with the musicians of the orchestra. He attended the Gstaad Menuhin String Academy with Ettore Causa receiving chamber music lessons from Ivan Monighetti and Rainer Schmidt.
He has received several prizes in Spanish competitions including the Intercentros Melómano, the Entre Cuerdas y Metales, the Villa de Molina and the Extraordinary Roque Baños Award.
He received the 3rd prize at the Villa de Llanes International Viola Competition. He also participated as semifinalist in the Cecil Aronowitz International Viola Competition and the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition.
She received her Honors degree from Trinity College London at QFC Level 6 in Musical Performance
She is now finishing her three-year studies at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid with professors Nobuko Imai and Wenting Kang, with whom she has been studying since 2017.
He is currently a member of the Tchaikovsky Management Solutions string trio at ESMRS.
