Alessandro Zignani, writer, musicologist and Germanist. He has published over forty books, including eight monographs on as many conductors, four hidden episodes in music (the latest, La storia negata, Zecchini editore, is dedicated to the forgotten composers of the Fascist period), and two “survival manuals” for classical musicians. He has written and staged many theatrical texts and with the company he founded to popularize music using an innovative criteria: the “Teatro delle Ombre”. His main narrative work is the cycle “Al dio ulteriore”, consisting of twelve novels divided into three Triads, an Epilogue and two Portals. His books have been reviewed by prestigious names (“Zignani, by now, should be considered a master”: Quirino Principe, “Il Sole-24 Ore”). He has won the “Maestrale-Marengo d’Oro” International Prize twice, as well as receiving the “Special Jury Prize” at the “Teatro Aurelio” National Competition and obtained two Honorable Mentions: from the “Florence-Europe” Competition and from the “Mario Luzi Foundation”.
