Regular guest of the Martha Argerich Project, artist with a refined discography, Alessandro Stella has performed in the main Italian, European and Latin American cities. His recordings, published by Artalinna, Continuo, Kha, Stradivarius and Warner Classics, have received unanimous acclaim from international critics.
In addition to the soloist, Alessandro Stella combines an intense chamber music activity, collaborating regularly with Gemma Bertagnolli, Gilda Buttà, Mauro Conti, Giovanni Gnocchi, Marcos Madrigal, Tai Murray, Giacomo Palazzesi, Pietro Roffi, Nino Surguladze and is a founding member of the piano trio ‘The Pianos Trio’ with Giorgia Tomassi and Carlo Maria Griguoli. He has performed and recorded in world premiere works by illustrious contemporary composers such as Carlo Boccadoro, Giya Kancheli and Nicola Campogrande. In 2021 he founded the Extended Place record label.
Alessandro Stella studied with Raffaella d’Esposito, Franco Scala and Marco Di Bari, further improving with Bruno Canino, Maria João Pires, Maurizio Pollini, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Alexis Weissenberg and Christian Zacharias. Since 2015 he has been teaching Piano at the Conservatrio “Gesualdo da Venosa” in Potenza.
