The plot of the Unfinished in the Sala dei Fiumi continues with Bach’s The Art of Fugue, one of the most complex and intellectual works in the history of music: a veritable essay on the art of counterpoint, left incomplete due to the composer’s death. To interpret a selection of fugues, counter-fugues and canons will be the Ensemble of the Italian Instrumental Academy, which since its foundation has been performing instrumental music from the Renaissance to the early Baroque, paying great attention to respect for philological canons.
