Giovanni Gnocchi – Bach

Bach returns in the Rotonda di San Lorenzo, with Giovanni Gnocchi, for Solo alla Rotonda, and Suite n. 2 for solo cello. This suite, perfection of writing, together with the five written by Bach is a journey to discover this instrument, the cello, which until then had never really been considered as a solo or virtuoso instrument. With these six dance compositions (“suite” in fact), Bach delves deeply into the most articulate, calm, majestic harmonic construction, thanks to the warm and grave tones of the cello.
