Born in Paris and living in Berlin, Mark Andre is one of today’s leading French composers. The eclectic pianist and harpsichordist Ilaria Baldaccini guides us in this appointment of the Wunderkammer through the first of her IVs (2010), a long series of pieces composed over the years for the most disparate instruments and ensembles, in which Andre creates a physical experience of sound, in the wake of Lachenmann’s work but with a very personal sensitivity for timbre and colour.
