This ensemble of friends and collaborators of the Mantua Chamber Orchestra, gathered around the Artist in Residence Alexander Lonquich, gathers on the Bibiena stage for two 20th century masterpieces: Ligeti’s Bagatelle for wind quintet, taken from the large suite Sophisticated music that became famous also thanks to Kubrick’s films, and Poulenc’s Sextet, which the very happy writing and the ironic, scathing, immediately melancholic and dreamy invention made it among the French composer’s most loved songs.
