The Ensemble Dorati is once again dedicating itself to the Hungarian composer and conductor who gives it its name, Antal Dorati. A pupil of Kodály and Bartók, Dorati was a successful conductor, whose international career overshadowed a lively activity as a composer, represented here by the youthful Notturno and Capriccio. Together with Dorati, the program includes Boccherini’s Quintet and Crusell’s Divertimento: a precious opportunity to discover the hidden repertoire of the oboe.
