The solo violin returns to animate the precious decorations of Sala dei Fiumi, thanks to the inspiration of the young violinist and conductor Gabriele Pro. In a program dedicated to the German Baroque, Pro will pair two of the greatest (and most prolific) composers of the early eighteenth century, Telemann and Bach, with the revolutionary and innovative work of Biber, drawing a parallel between two great “basses and variations” of the Baroque: Biber’s Passacaglia and Bach’s Chaconne.
