M. Ravel (1875-1937)
Trio in A minor op. 67

30′ | Admission €15

Among the greatest masterpieces of the genre, the Trio in A minor was composed by Ravel on a retreat in the Pyrenees in the months immediately preceding the outbreak of the First World War. In a certain sense, Ravel here seems to foresee the end of the Belle Epoque, in a restless and passionate piece, with sonorities as transparent as a full moon night and with rhythms inspired by Basque dances. On stage, the Artist in Residence Alexander Lonquich will be joined by two other protagonists of the Festival, Alexandra Soumm and Giovanni Gnocchi.
